Keswick Parkrun

The Easter weekend brought a break in racing but there was plenty of Parkrun activity for North Herts Road Runners.

Tom Webb ran the fastest Parkrun in Exmouth amongst a speedy field finishing 3rd with a parkrun (and 5k) PB of 15:47. John Rayner ran the Dartford parkrun and finished 2nd in 18:06, two seconds off his course PB. Rayner was pleased saying ‘having picked up a few injuries last year I feel like I am on my way back to full speed.’ Paul Jackson won Letchworth Parkrun also in a time of 18.06. Further afield at the Keswick Parkrun Richard Harbon, Matt Ankers and Helen Harbon mixed it with fell runners and holiday makers over the surprisingly hilly but very scenic disused railway line finishing in 21:19, 24:34 and 24:44 respectively.

Race walker David Annetts had a successful week winning Vets AC 5 mile Race Walk at Battersea Park on Tuesday in a personal best time of 38:47. Then in very warm condition on Saturday at the Picketts Lock Track in Lee Valley he won the Enfield League 5000m Race Walk in another PB of 23:24.
