Route Description
Both routes start and finish on Leys Avenue and head up towards the train station, turning left and heading down Eastcheap all the way to Gernon Road. The route then heads round Broadway Gardens long-about anti-clockwise until reaching Broadway. The two routes differ slightly in how far they travel up Broadway before turning round and heading back to continue round the long-about back towards Gernon Road and back down Eastcheap.
The mile is one lap round the route described whereas the 5km is a two lap course, meaning that there is another turn at the bottom of Leys Avenue to head back on a second lap.
