Is on Saturday 2nd November 2024 To register: If you are new to FSOTM, then please pre-register here before the event, we will allocate you a number (barcode) on Friday afternoon and you can print out (see below) or pick up on Saturday morning. Barcodes: Here's a list of already registered people, please find yourself on the list, take a note of the page number and print only that page (it is a big file, you don't want to print it all!) Covid: Please read the runbritain covid code of conduct before the event and above all, please don't attend our event if you have any covid symptoms. Start: Please turn up ready to run at the start at 8:45. It is a 5 minute walk from the car park to the start. Recording your finish time:
When you register, you will be issued with a barcode which we will scan it when you finish (it isn't the same as a parkrun barcode). If you don't have a barcode with you on the day, take a finish token (and try to remember what finish number you are), take a note of your finish time (there is a finish clock) and after the event, let us know and we will add you into the results. When?
The 1st Saturday of every month, the run will start at 9.00 am Who? The run is open to runners of all ages and abilities. This event is free to enter. Getting there Car parking is available close to the start in the outdoor swimming pool car park and bowls club car park, both off Icknield Way, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 4UF. If the car park is full, please park responsibly. Note: car parking is free for 2 hours BUT you need to get a ticket so please allow time! More information. Runners are encouraged to walk or cycle to the event. There are cycle racks in front of the swimming pool. Alternatively, public transport facilities are very good. The start is a short walk from the main line railway station. Facilities There are no toilets or changing facilities. There will be an area to store bags and keys safely at the finish. Water and coffee will be available for all runners at the finish. Course information The run is a two lap course on Norton Common, an area of natural beauty. The course is footpaths, tracks and grassland and is described as undulating. Normal running shoes can be worn for most of the year. If the weather has been particularly wet, runners may wish to wear studs. Spikes are not advisable. This event has an ARC permit.
