Summer evenings are made for this. The Mid Week Road Race League is a local league involving other clubs in Hertfordshire. It’s a series of 10k (or about) races each hosted by a different club in the league. Races take place on weekday evenings from May to July. There are normally 4 divisional races with a ‘mob match’ as the last race, where teams from all divisions race together.

The races are free for any paid-up member and suitable for all abilities. The way the scoring works means that wherever you place in the field could help the overall team score so we want as many people racing as possible.

These are great fun and there is a fantastic team spirit among not only our club but all the clubs taking part with some healthy rivalry. If the honour and glory of representing your club isn’t enough to tempt you then there’s always the post-race food and drink!

The races are open to first claim members only and all runners must be 15 years of age or over. You must wear an official club vest and your race number that you can collect from the midweek league rep at the club. Keep it safe, as you’ll needed it for the duration of the league for use in all races.
