Congratulations Lisa Laundy - NHRR Squirrels of the Month for March 2019

Squirrel of the Month for March is the very inspiring Lisa Laundy. Lisa has been battling cancer for almost 20 years. Running has played an important role in Lisa's life helping her both physically and mentally deal with cancer.

The charity Macmillan Cancer Support have also been a major source of support. Lisa's Macmillan nurses worked with her to help her manage her medication so she could continue to run and are now helping her and her family live and cope with cancer on a daily basis.

Lisa set herself the challenge to run the Vitality Big Half. It was her first half marathon which she finished in 2:23:59 and raised over £1,200 for Macmillan Cancer Support as a way of saying thank you for everything they have done and continue to do for her and her family.
