Congratulations Ali Blunt and Jennie Andrews - NHRR Squirrels of the Month for February 2019

February's Baldock Beast Half Marathon produced some great performances but it was the shoe swapping shenanigans of Ali and Jennie that won them the title of SotM.

Ali was competing in the half marathon when blisters drove her to take off her shoes and continue racing in just her socks.

Jennie had been marshalling and came to Ali's rescue by giving her the shoes off her feet to continue the race leaving Jennie to marshal in her socks.

An unbelievable but true story  with both showing what being a squirrel is all about, passion about running with full commitment (to carry on even without shoes)  and being there for others (giving up your own shoes).
