 Sheila Leavy Congratulations Sheila Leavy - NHRR Squirrels of the Month for June 2019
Sheila has been awarded Squirrel of the Month due to her incredible resilience and positivity after a serious fall while racing. The fall led to Sheila having to undergo several operations and left her confined to her bed and unable to walk. Her determination and positive attitude through out her recover has been an inspiration to all of us and it was great to see Sheila walk the mile race at Run Round the Garden in June. Although unable to run Sheila remained a dedicated squirrel through her recovery supporting races and attending club socials from her wheelchair and later on crutches. As soon as she could was able to walk she walked to and from training session always smiling and encouraging others.

 Lorna Chambers Congratulations Lorna Chambers - NHRR Squirrels of the Month for May 2019
Lorna has been nominated Squirrel of the Month for making her Half Marathon debut at our very own Greenway Challenge. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience and afterwards she reflected how much she had achieved in just a year and half running. Running is all about enjoyment and achievement and we think Lorna personifies this and is a very worthy winner for May's Squirrel of the Month. . |
