Simon completed the inaugural Flawed Hero virtual London marathon, setting off at midnight on Saturday night. A time of 4:26 isn’t a pb but very pleased considering the lack of training and sleep.

I ran the “The Other Run” marathon today aptly named by the organisers ZigZag Running. It was held in Barrow Suffolk. The one lap course was undulating throughout with some longer hills to climb. The whole event was very well organised and we received a nice medal and there was free tea coffee and cake at the finish. After doing the Haverhill marathon two weeks ago I was pleased to finish this one 16 minutes quicker in 4.44,

I ran the Boston Marathon on Monday. It was an incredible experience, the whole city is gripped by the event and everywhere you turn there is something running themed happening. Had an absolutely fantastic weekend. The race was hot and the hills, including Heartbreak Hill, hit hard. I came home in 3hrs14 which was not the objective, had to ease off after the halfway and took it in, but such a great experience there are no complaints here.

I ran the London Marathon today, i got a place through my Manchester marathon time so this was always going to be a lovely bonus marathon and just so happened to be 10 years since my first London where I did 4hrs 27. It went pretty well, other than my watch seemed to stop working somewhere around canary wharf so I was running blind up till the end. As expected the last few miles are pretty horrendous and a huge test of your mental and physical strength but I finished! and after calling my brother to find out my finishing time I was over the moon with 3hrs 41mins. A huge thanks to all the fantastic supporters and Anna Gibson with the flat coca cola pick me up at mile 22!
