A dryer henlow park run on sat with 170 runners. My time was 33.52 and position 119

I ran the 5km at the Milton Keynes Running Festival and was very pleased to finish as 1st lady in a time of 19:44!

4th at MK20 in 1:54:32
First 20mi race in prep for newport marathon
Not as pancake flat as I hoped and finishing on the biggest hill

Really enjoyed the High Lodge half marathon this morning. Nice, fairly flat trails through Thetford Forest and a time of 2:09:16.

Completed my 2nd marathon the great Welsh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 in a new NHRR V65 club record in 3:50:32 finishing 234 out of 668 finishers and 2nd in my age category. Got the qualifying time for good for age draw for London. I took 7 minutes of my time for a PB.

James (Keogh) and I (Clare Hooley) did our fourth visit to the Milton Keynes Festival of Running, me in the 10 k and James in the half.
First road race of the year.
It’s a nice course on closed roads with some dual carriageway, country roads, lakeside paths, a short but steep hill in a park, some canal towpath and some urban footpaths.
James’s time was 1:31:02 (he thinks he’s done it faster but also slower in the past).
I was of course very slow and I’m not sure what the club coaches would think about my training of 5km, 7.5km, 10km in 3 weekends after only shorter runs up to then. But got round it (1:27:04, just ahead of the first 20 mile finisher, although they start earlier)! Do really like the this race because the staggered starts and varied distances mean I’m not back last, and can cheer people on the line.

I ran the MK 20 miler. Really great race even managed to run my fastest half in the middle. Pretty good preparation for London. Alice Carty and Ben Ryan were not too far in front but both looked comfortable and ran a great race as well!
