North Herts RRC Grand Prix 2017 Rules & Regulations
As an affiliated club, we abide by England Athletics Rules. NHRR members must run in a club vest when entered in a race as a North Herts RRC member
1. ELIGIBILITY
1.1 You must be a fully paid-up member of the club to be eligible for prizes & included in the club results.
1.2 New members who join after the 17th race in the Road Race Championship season can run in club colours, but will not feature in the Grand Prix tables or be eligible for prizes.
1.3 Existing members (including those who join before the 17th race) will be awarded points for ROTM & appear in the Grand Prix tables regardless of when they run their first race or how few/many races they complete.
1.4 Eligibility for vet groups/prizes is determined by age on 1st January of the Championship year.
2. CHAMPIONSHIP GROUP TABLES
2.1 Allocation of existing members to Championship Groups for each year will be determined by the Committee (based on performances & finishing positions in the previous year).
2.2 New members (joining prior to the 17th race) will be allocated to the most appropriate Championship Group as determined by the
Committee, based on race history & performance in first Grand Prix race result.
3. Points Allocation and Results
3.1 One point will be awarded to all runners who enter a ROTM designated race.
3.2 Results from every race specified in the Grand Prix will be converted into a points table, 25 points awarded to first place in each division, down to 1 point it and where appropriate for each race on the Grand Prix.
3.3 When available, chip times and not gun times are used as the runners finishing time to determine order.
3.4 Position in Grand Prix Group/Category tables will be determined by a cumulative total for all races completed as part of the Grand Prix.
3.5 Prizes will be awarded to the first three finishers in each Championship Group/Category.
3.6 Where runners are tied on points in a given group the order of determining their position is as follows:

- the runner with the better head-to-head record will be placed above the other runner(s). - if head-to-head record is equal then the runner with the lowest cumulative time in head-to-head races will be placed above the other runner(s).
- if this cannot determine a winner, the runner with the highest points per race average based on all races completed will be placed highest.
- if this cannot determine a winner, the runner with the fastest average pace per mile based on all races completed will be placed highest.
- if this cannot determine a winner, the runners will be determined to be equal.
