Richard Weber - Hello all. On the 2nd of October 2022, I am running the London Marathon in aid of the British Heart Foundation, a fantastic charity who have helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK.
In 2006, my own father sadly passed away after his second heart attack at the age of 75, and many other members of my extended family have also been affected by this horrible disease, which can be so debilitating. If any of you would like to sponsor me and help the BHF create new treatments and discover new cures for heart disease, please follow the link below. Many thanks in anticipation. |
Cara Sutton - On the 2nd October I will running London Marathon for Alzheimer's Research UK. My family, as many others, has witnessed the devastating impact that dementia and Alzheimer's disease can have. Alzheimer's Research UK fund research and aim to find a life changing treatment for dementia by 2025.

Oliver Parsons - Hi. I am running the London Marathon for Whizz-Kidz. Being a parent and a runner I know how important exercise, movement and games can be for both my physical and mental health. It is harder today for many to find the outlet to enjoy physical exercise and it need not be the case. Whizz-Kidz help support young people and children with disabilities, and their families, get out and lead more active lives, when the additional costs of equipment can be prohibitive. The London Marathon is a key event for them and I wanted to use my love of running and hopefully help share that with this community and support them find ways to enjoy and active lifestyle.

Natalie Delaney - Hi all, I am running the London Marathon on 2nd October for Asthma & Lung Uk. As an asthma suffering my whole life and with a sister with awful COPD I completely understand how debilitating lung conditions can be. This is my first marathon and having only joined the club a couple of months before finding out I had a place it’s been a hard journey and I’m certainly so thrilled to be taking part and doing my bit for an amazing charity! If you could spare anything to help me raise as much as possible it would be greatly appreciated! Wish me luck and thank you for your support. Natalie xx

Elwyn Howell - On the 2nd of October Linda and I are doing the virtual London marathon as a walk. As Linda is still recovering from her hip replacement we are going to walk the distance with some running in between. Seeing that we are in Greece on our last day of our holiday then we are starting out at 0200 am in Greece and after the flight home to complete it in the UK. As Linda’s mum died after only four months of being told at the age of 73 she had pancreatic cancer we are doing it in aid of Pancreatic cancer uk. Any donations would be most grateful and can be donated at the link below
