Trisports registration days:
This year, number and timing chip pickup will be at Trisports, 48 Station Road, Letchworth, SG6 3BE. Trisports are the lead sponsor of our events and we are very grateful to them for their support.
- Numbers will be allocated in surname order
- You can pick up numbers and chips for other people, just bring a list of their names with you.
- Pickup will be open 1600-1900 on Thursday 3rd October, 1600-1900 on Friday 4th and 1200-1600 on Saturday 5th.
- Please come by bike, foot or public transport if at all possible. Trisports is 2 minutes' walk from Letchworth railway station.
- There is no parking for number pick-up at Trisports. If you are coming by car, there is a public car park (just 20p) at Openshaw Way, immediately across Station Road from Trisports. Parking is also available at Letchworth Outdoor Pool, SG6 4UF (3 minutes' walk) and at Morrisons supermarket, Broadway, SG6 3TS (5 minutes).
- If you can't make it then race day race number and timing chip pickup is from 7:30am-9:00am at Standalone Farm…don’t leave it until the last minute!

ON RACE DAY
Getting to the race:
- We are working hard to make Standalone 10k 2019 as environmentally friendly as possible and we need your help with this!
- If you live locally, please cycle to the farm, you'll arrive nicely warmed up and it is a great cool down after the race! We will be providing additional cycle racks on the farm, just follow the signs at race HQ.
- Standalone Farm is just a 17 minute walk from Letchworth Garden City Train station, which is on the London to Cambridge line
- Please car share if possible, not only is this more environmentally friendly but it will also ease pressure on our car park and reduce queues
Race day car parking:
- The main car park is accessed from Stotfold Road, Letchworth, SG6 4JS.
- Official race parking is free.
- Please note, there is NO EXIT during the race! Please, NO DROP OFFS at the main car park due to small entrance and constant need for incoming cars only!
- We will have signs on the main routes through Letchworth directing you to the main parking - please follow these.
- There is NO PARKING in the usual Standalone Farm car parks.
- Alternative parking for those who need to leave before the main car park is open (approx. 10:45) is at The Spirella Building, Letchworth, SG6 4ET. Please allow for a 15 minute walk to Standalone Farm:
- To minimise the impact on local residents, please don’t park on the roads around the farm
Race number and timing chip pickup:
- Race number and timing chip pickup is from 7:30am-9:00am on race day at Standalone Farm…don’t leave it until the last minute!
- Please follow the instructions provided to fasten the timing chip to your shoe
- Your race number is to be worn on your front
- Please fill in the medical conditions and emergency contact information on the back of your number
- Please do not run using someone else's number!
Baggage:
- Your race pack also includes a baggage tag
- Simply attach it to your bag before taking it to the baggage area
Toilets:
- We will have even more toilets available on the farm this year
- Please do not use the Standalone Farm toilets
The start!
- Yoga with Aminta will be offering a yoga warm up before the race, head to the gravel car park at the entrance to the farm for 8:40am
- Start moving to the start of the race at 9:00, marshals will be around to direct you
- There will be timed pen markers so you know where to stand
- The race starts at 9:30!
DURING THE RACE
Course Information
Race Safety:
- Please obey the instructions of the race marshals and police at all times.
- You must stay on the left hand side of the road and you must stay within the line of marshals and cones on the by-pass.
- Wearing headphones (including bone conducting headphones) is prohibited for your own safety and for the safety of other runners.
- Failing to comply with any of these instructions will result in disqualification.
- Marshals have no powers to stop traffic outside the road closure area therefore all runners are responsible for their own safety.
- The race is not suitable for wheelchairs, dogs or running buggies
- There is no cutoff time but runners may be asked to move on to pavements so we can reopen roads
- Water will be available on the course (5km)
AFTER THE RACE
Water
- Water in the finish area will be provided in reusable cups, please don't take them home with you!
- Bring your own labelled water bottle and leave it on one of the dedicated tables in the finish area so you can pick it up once you are finished
- All finishers will receive a technical t-shirt
- We aim to present the trophies at 11:30.
- Cash prizes will be awarded to:
- 1st-5th Male and Female finishers
- £100 for new course record (Male 30:28 (David Wardle 2012), Female 34:29 (Hannah Walker 2011))
- 1st MV40, MV50, MV60, MV70, FV35, FV45, FV55, FV65, MU20, FU20
- 1st unattached M/F, 1st Local runner (SG4, 5, 6, 7) M/F
- 1st Male and Female Team (of 4)
- Please note: runners are eligible for one individual prize only.
- Herts Senior County medals (1st 2nd 3rd) will also be awarded. Team size: F (3 to count) and M (4 to count). Individuals qualify through birth or residency, Teams qualify through Herts AAA affiliation/medal payment.
At the Farm:
- You'll be able to purchase hot food, coffee, cake or sports equipment or have a pre/post-race massage.
- If you have any running gear that you no longer need then we are arranging a rerun clothing collection on race day. Simply bring along any running clothing (including trainers) you no longer need and we will send it to rerun clothing to save them from landfill.
- Sorry, there are no showers!
Results and Photos:
- Race photos provided by mybibnumber will be available to view and purchase after the race, sign up before the race to be the first to hear when the photos are uploaded and to get £5 off your order.
- Race results will be displayed in the farm yard as soon as they are available.
- Results will be published on the Standalone web site: www.standalone10k.org.uk as well as on our timing providers website: http://www.sportsystems.co.uk/ss/results
- If you have provided a mobile number, you will receive a text message containing your finishing time (no charge).
Free Kids’ Fun Run:
- Please get to the farm in plenty of time, follow the signs and listen for announcements
- Starts at 11am after the main race, please start heading towards the start at 10:45
- The start is at the back of the farm, behind the farm buildings
- The start will be staggered
- The route is 2km on paths around the farm finishing under the main race finish arch
- Registration is not required
- All runners will receive a wooden medal
- Parents/ Guardians must take full responsibility for their children before, during and after the run; we recommend that children under 8 are accompanied by an adult during the run
- Parking: for those arriving after 09:45, please park at the Spirella building in Letchworth, SG6 4ET. (15 min walk). There will be no access to main event car park on Stotfold rd after 09.45.

- There are no entries on race day.
- If the event is cancelled no money will be refunded; any surplus will go to charity.
