No it’s completed free. All we need is your commitment to this journey

Do I need to be fit or have run before?
Not at all. This course is designed for complete beginners and those returning to running. We start gently and build up gradually.

How will I be supported?
The sessions will be led by qualified couches, supported by Club members.  There will be a community based WhatsApp group so any questions and concentrating can easily be shared.

What if I can’t keep up?
Don’t worry — sessions are run at a supportive pace, with coaches ensuring no one is left behind. Walking breaks are built in.

What happens if I miss a session?
Life happens! You’re welcome to continue with the course even if you miss a week. There is optional homework can help you stay on track.

Do I have to take part in the homework runs?
No. Homework runs are optional but recommended if you’re able, as they help reinforce progress between coached sessions.

What should I bring to sessions?
Just yourself, your running kit, and a positive attitude! Water is recommended, and reflective or hi-vis clothing is essential for evening safety.

Is the final parkrun compulsory?
The Henlow Bridge Lakes Parkrun on 25th April is a celebration of your progress, not a race. Participation is encouraged but completely optional.
