We are using reusable race numbers again. This will include a timing chip and has holes in each corner for pinning to your running top. After the race, please return the running number to the bins provided before you leave the finish area.

If you have a medical condition and need to write information on the back of your number in case of an emergency please keep your number.

Race T Shirts
If you have ordered a t-shirt you will be able to collect your pre-paid t-shirt with your number on Thursday, Friday or Saturday at Sigma Sports.  On Sunday your t-shirt can only be collected after you have finished the race in the finish area. (Note: to reduce waste the race t-shirt was only available on pre-order, unfortunately we will not be able to sell you one on the day).

Getting to the race
We are working hard to make Standalone 10k 2025 as environmentally friendly as possible (click for more info) and we need your help with this.
  • If you live locally, please walk or cycle to the farm, you'll arrive nicely   warmed up and it is a great cool down after the race! We will be providing additional cycle racks on the farm, just follow the signs at race HQ.
  • Standalone Farm is just a 17 minute walk (click here) (click) from Letchworth Garden City Train station, which is on the London to Cambridge line (click here)
  • Please car share, if possible, not only is this more environmentally friendly but it will also ease pressure on our car park and reduce queues
  • Please note that Wilbury Road and Norton Road from Green Lane to Stotfold will be closed to traffic from 8.30am.

Race day car parking.
  • To minimise the impact on local residents, please don’t park on the roads around the farm.
  • The main car park is accessed from Stotfold Road, Letchworth, SG6 4JS.
  • The car park opens at 7:45 am.
  • Official race parking is free.

  • The exit from the car park will open at approx. 10:45 am.

On the Farm
  • Standalone Farm will be open until 2pm for runners and their families to enjoy.  The Farm is not open to the public and will close at 2pm.

Baggage
We will have limited baggage facilities on the farm, where possible, we do ask runners to turn up ready to run. If you have dropped off a bag you will need your race number to collect your bag and there will be buckets for you to return your number before you leave the finish area.

Toilets
  • We will have plenty of toilets near the registration area including an accessible toilet.
  • Please give yourself plenty of time to use them and get to the start.

Recycle old trainers
If you have any old, clean trainers that you would like to recycle we will have bins at registration to collect these.  Please tie the laces together.  The trainers will be going to https://www.jogonagain.com who recycle them in various ways.

  • Failing to comply with any of these instructions will result in disqualification.

Children’s Fun Run
There will be a free children’s fun run at this year’s event and all children must be registered online to take part: https://my.raceresult.com/326429/ It will take place immediately after the main race starts at 9.40am. If you arrive late you will not be able to start as we need to ensure that all children have safely finished before the first 10k runners come back.

The run is approximately 800m and will go along the Greenway, it is traffic free and will be marshalled.

The start will be on the farm hard standing on the path to the main car park.

If your child is 5 or under, they must be accompanied by an adult.  If you want to run with a buggy, that is fine but please start at the back and be aware that the run is on a gravel track.
The finish will be through the finish arch of the main race.  After the race your child will be guided to the exit of the finish area, (black NHRR gazebo). Please meet your child there.

Spectators
Standalone is a great venue, not only to race, but also to spectate.  It is traffic free and there will be music while you wait for your runner(s) to finish.  You will also be able to purchase refreshments.
If you want to watch the start of the 10k the best place is just outside the Farm.  Please follow the instructions of the marshals on your way back in to the farm as the Fun Run will be starting at 9.35am and will be using the finish area.
Spectators are not allowed in the finish area for safety reasons: there is plenty of space along the finishing straight to cheer the runners in.
There are plenty of places on the course for spectators to see you run. Most of the course is on closed roads and therefore safe for spectating.
