Where we meet
NHRR Training update December 2020:
Sadly as Hertfordshire is in Tier 4, there are currently no official NHRR training sessions at the moment. Please follow government and England Athletics guidelines when out running and we hope to see you soon!
When we are able to hold training sessions, NHRR welcomes new runners and understands you might want to try out training before committing to annual membership. At this time we are limited to the number of places we can offer in training sessions, so would appreciate potential members attending no more than two trial sessions. For more information on the training sessions available visit the training section on the forum or contact our Head Coach
Training Groups
There are four training groups. The following is a guide:
Blue Group - under around 42 minutes for a 10km.
Green Group - 10K in 42 minutes to 55 minutes.
Yellow Group - 10k at around 60 minutes or more.
Purple Group - This group is best for people who are able to run for around 30 minutes non-stop or who have completed the NHS couch to 5k.
If you are a complete beginner, try the NHS couch to 5k schedule to get you started.
