NHRR end the year on a high at Buntingford 10

The North Herts Road Runners turned up in force at the Buntingford 10 miler on Sunday, with many personal bests being attained. 
 
Tracy Pitcairn and Caroline Thrussell were both 3rd and Matt Sayers was 4th in their respective age categories in the British Masters 10M champs. Meanwhile in the Herts County Champs competition Mike Roberts secured 3rd place. 
 
Pitcairn was delighted with her time on what she described as a lovely, undulating course. She benefited from working with teammates, Pete Sibbett and David Edwards at various stages of the race which resulted in her obtaining a big PB of 1:09:12. 
 
Bev Rimmer, who claims to have been in a state of quasi-hibernation since the clocks went back, thanked the many NHRR who turned out to support that helped her complete the course in under 1hr50. She has been inspired to train more in 2025. 
 
Among the PBs were David Edwards (1:09:15), Mike Phillips (1:09:59), Natalie Phillips (1:19:40) and Becky Geekie (1:20:07)

NHRR Parkrun Roundup 
Many NHRR took part in Parkruns this weekend. Bev Rimmerenjoyed the comedic skills of one of the marshals at Huntingdon Parkrun and Elwyn Howell travelled further afield to receive a warm welcome from German volunteers at Reinpark Parkrun in Cologne where he managed to secure 1st in his age category.
