North Herts Road Runners is a lively, friendly and sociable
running club with around 150 members from Letchworth, Hitchin, Baldock, Stotfold
and the surrounding areas.
First time at
NHRR?
We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 19:15 at
North Herts Leisure Centre Just make
yourself known at reception and look out for people wearing NHRR kit. We meet
upstairs, starting with announcements including recent race results, upcoming
events and details of training that will be taking place.
After training we
have the use of the Leisure Centre showers.
How do I know who to run
with?
We offer a variety of different training options. Our
qualified club coaches put together a balanced training
schedule and take coached sessions on Tuesdays and
Thursdays - just listen to announcements and follow the crowd.
If this isn't
your thing, then we have groups of runners who go for runs (usually 3-8 miles)
around the streets and countryside of Letchworth. Just ask around and well make
sure you have the right group to run with.
We've also started a beginners
group on Thursdays, this group is aimed at absolute beginners or those who
haven't run for a while.
I need some training advice, can you
help?
Of course we can! We have a number of qualified coaches at
the club as well as members who have run many different types of races all over
the world from 5ks to marathons and beyond!
Whether it is a quick question or
more detailed training advice, we are definitely on hand to
help.

Standalone 10k
The highlight of the NHRR year is
the Standalone 10k which takes place in the first
weekend of October.
The Standalone 10k is one of the top local 10k races and
often hosts the Herts County Championships. Every year it attracts over 1000
runners who rate the organisation and atmosphere of this race very highly. The
success of this race is largely due to the efforts of our race committee and
club members.
